Hi everyone! I searched the forums and could not find one that addressed break in times for SDS-254?!?
I purchased mine about a week ago and it really doesn't sound that great with about 75 hours on it. I am running a Dodd Buffer and both amp and buffer are "off the grid" Any feed back would be apreciated.

I am not convinced a class d breaks in.
This is because it is just PWM which is hard switched.

kregg007 what PSU solution are you using? PSU can have a PROFOUND affect on an amplifier especially if it can provide the needed current.

The only negative reviews I've heard involved people trying to use the amps with PSUs and speakers the unit can hardly drive. For example a guy was on here complaining about CDA-224 not driving his Magnepan 3.7 Also he used his own PSU with capacitance less than the PSU option shipped with CDA-224
This is hardly an accurate representation of what the amp offers... but the gentleman simply assumed the classdaudio amps have poor SQ... foolish assumption... Single ended or double? If single is your jumper set inverted on non? Perhaps you have the input wired incorrectly and/or gain pot set poorly. What speakers are you drying to drive with it? The SDS-254 requires +/- 40 Volts DC to +/- 50 Volts DC Is this what your DC-DC battery PSU is providing? I'd drive to power the module with a decent caliber SMPS over a battery setup. I ordered the SDS-254 kit which included a linear power supply. It sounded good when I first turned it on. I do not think it has changed much over time.
