Default Review of Connexelectronic TA-3020 v3b audio amplifier #2

Well, what can I say?! I've been listening to this amp module now for quite some time. It's definitely "run in." The sound has changed, or is it maybe my ears?!!!

My parents had a Bang & Olufsen music system bought in the early 1970's. This amp sounds like it!!!

Lower bass is outstanding. Mid-Bass is rich (perhaps a little too rich for my ears, especially around 400Hz) and then things go a little wrong. The lower midrange (400Hz - 1KHz) is definitely a bit "muffly."

Then things start to get interesting - although the upper mid-range is somewhat "muted and slightly muddy" (2 KHz ish,) the higher frequencies are accurate and detailed. (How can that be?!)

All in all, a nice amp module, very good value for money, but I will be seeking better amp modules with my next creation!
