Don't you think that if a new method was found, we would be out marketing it first instead of giving it for free?

Build something using one of the current methods first, get accustomed to it, break it in every way then fix it again. Learn how every part of the circuit operates. Then worry about "new".

The usual PWM method can also be adapted so it only outputs pulses when there is sound. When there is no sound there is no 50%/50% PWM output at all.
This makes for a very efficient class d. There was a video on youtube explaining it but I cant remember where it was.

Found it !
He goes on to explain a filterless class d amp using a modified pulse system.

I know some modulation methods such as self oscilating, PWM, delta sigma and sliding mode control. However, I do not really know the details, advantages and disadvantages for each method. Can anyone help me to give an idea about this?

Isn't this the sort of things you're supposed to be reading up on when you're going to use it for a final project?

One thing you could look into is combining class D and class H.

Phase shift modulation with a 4046. Use the XOR output to drive your output stage. Work well, but this technique lose control at clipping. The frequency shift go outside the gap band of the PLL.

Single cycle control: A mix of feedforward and non-linear control, calculating duty cycle for each switching period with non-linear functions (like integrators) in such a way that all the errors are corrected as they appear instead of becoming cummulative (like in every triangle wave scheme). And doing that without getting a wide range of switching frequencies as a result.
