Pre-Obad Audiomagus sold a little box called a "PowerCleaner12". It had 2 channels and was for placing in line between one or two Trends TA2024 amps (or similar 12vdc powered devices) and the supplied SMPS to significantly reduce noise produced by the PSU. It was discontinued when the original Audiomagus closed in 2009.
Google shows nothing for user comments in forums. I'm curious to know if you good folks think it really works. The image below shows the small PCB within the box. No indication that Mr. Mardis had a hand in its design but it came from that era. If the principle is good it seems it should be useful with SMPS on the class D modules (Arjen Helder's boards, etc). Something similar produced as a variety of project modules at different voltages might be very handy. What do you guys think? powercleaner12br1.jpg |
