Smile BEGINNER need help on a portable amp

OK I'm just a beginner and don't know how to read schematic so please don't comments if your gonna say.. "search button is your best friend" "google it" cause like i said I'm just a beginner and been doing that and same thing just schematic and no step by step tutorial, and like i said don't know how to read schematic, maybe just a little bit but don't know how to put it on a board, and the board would have to be the one from radio shack cause don't have the money or the tools to make a PCB board. So what I'm asking from you guys is...

Can you guys help me on building a portable amplifier for some small speakers or headphones, would i need first is a list of the components that would be needing (exact name if possible), second a step by step on how to put everything on a radio shack board, if you guys don't want to do the step by step at least just the list.

I know i sound demanding but i have to put what i want, other wise ill be getting comments on "search it" "look around the web," and there only schematic or they are doing it on long board that you don't solder anything but this is something i want to keep and take it around with me.

Well thank you, .

I'm a beginner too, and i just recently built a portable boombox, From what I've read it sounds like you'll need something prebuilt. For my project i used a lepai lp-3 amp it's all assembled and comes in an enclosure, you can find them and speakers at parts express. The amp runs about $20 there, It comes with a ac adapter, but i fashioned a 8 AA battery pack to power it, gives me about 17hrs of music at 60-70% volume. I regards to searching Sometimes i find that if you lurk around awhile and read others builds you can generally find what you looking for or know the specifics of what you need to ask.

What you want to build is something called a "gainclone" or "chip amp". This is a type of amp that puts alot of the complex parts on a single chip, so you only have to add a small number of parts to make it work, and they sound really good. A good one to use would be the lm3886 chip. You will have to learn a little bit about reading schematics, no matter what. That might sound complicated, but you really just need to learn five or ten symbols, and understand what the components that they stand for do. Heres a list:
Resistor
Transistor
Diode
Transformer
Switch
Relay
Capacitor

If you don't want to learn what these are, you will need to buy a kit with step by step instructions. You will not be able to build an amp otherwise. If you need some help understanding what the things in the list do, post questions here, and Ill help you.

After google, your next best friend is ebay.
There are tons of amp kits and pre-built amps boards for cheap; cheaper than you can buy the parts separately.

Here is a cheap T-amp board that sounds great for very little money. Tripath TA2020 PCB 25Watt Class-T Audio Amplifier Board on eBay.ca (item 330521089581 end time 17-Feb-11 21:40:03 EST)

There are also boards with headphone out. Just do an ebay search.

There are tons of complete amps for little money also. Parts too, if you want. Your options are limitless.

Well i do know a little bit of the schematic, how to read it and i know a little bit of the component jobs but i just don't know where to start to put it on the board and its more difficult on the radio shack board since there's no naming or the line that connects them self. i have build a dummy load for a laser but that because you could see where the components goes and plus a step by step guide.

the most easier for me if we both have the same board and if you take pictures of every components where they go ill just counts the dots and see the picture then i could put it together but out of scratch i have no idea where to start.
Also thank you for the list.
But thank you and see if you could help me.
