Default tapping line level for subwoofer connection.

I am building a small, simple, inexpensive amp for a 2.1 system. I'm using a TA2020 board from ebay seller HLLY WiFi (like ebay item #400073068762)
driving a set of Mirage OMD5 speakers.

My question is: is there an elegant way to tap the signal so I have a signal out for a subwoofer?

Due to room and spouse constraints I don't really want to run speaker wires to the sub's speaker-level inputs and then back to the amp. The OMDs are right on the efficiency line so I fear that simply splitting the signal to a separate set of RCAs will hurt quality too much.

I've been considering building a matching pre-amp with Helder's tube board, if that will help me out at all.

Splitting the RCAs won't be a problem. The amps have enough gain to make up for it.

You can connect the amp's out to both the speakers and the sub. You get to use the amp's volume control too.
But I think that'd hurt quality more than splitting RCA.

The subwoofer does not have RCA outs?

That was my thought (on quality) about using the speaker level inputs but I also didn't consider the fixed output to the sub if I split the line.
I haven't decided on which sub I'm getting yet but I've been looking at some that do not have RCA pass-through.

My ideal solution would be if I could isolate a mono, variable level, line out for the sub so I could run one single cable to it.

The run to the sub will be about 2.5m long.
