I have one of the earlier TA2024 boards that I have purchased from Arjen. I am trying to put together a small amp for my kids room. What would be the best volume pot value for this amp?
I have tried it with Alps 09 50kax2 pot and it looks like it is not a good match. Volume works ok for about half the scale and then the other half doesn't produce any significant volume increase.
Thanks.

Volume pot is not for increasing volume. Its for attenuation.
Use 25k pot instead of 50k. Then you can twist volume knob
twice as much to get the maximum volume!
how did you connect the pot?
Not sure if that's what you are asking but the RCA went to the pot and from pot, I have connected wires to the amp PCB.
I just got e-mail from Arjen which stated that 50K or 100K pot should work but it has to be B type. I guess that means linear, correct?

I thought the Alps pots that Arjen ships were 50KAX2 which means they are logarithmic.
