problem with T-amp

Heres the problem Im using a Muse M21 It works fine when I have a MP3 player hooked up to it.But yesterday I tried to hook it up to my direct TV cable box And it seems to trip the chip. If I wait awhile then hook up the MP3 it will play plug the RCAs back to the cable box nothing?

Sounds like a protection circuit in the amp or in the power supply is kicking in. If you are using a laptop charger as the supply, check the green led for operation.

Your cable box should put out a line level signal. Some have adjustable volume levels. Turn the Muse to minimal volume on the front pot, and (if available) set the cable box to put out a low volume before sending a signal to the Muse.

I do not know about the Muse, but the Sure amps I bought have an input sensitivity selector. The most sensitive setting clips the amp hard and very easily with any source. Check your Muse manual for such a switch.
