I am almost finished wiring my Hypex UCD400 monos in a single chassis. According to the rep at Hypex, the yellow leads coming out of the transformers are not used.
Could someone please tell me what is the proper way to dress these unused leads on the TR501A transformers? Thanks in advance. Slowlearner |

Cut off the copper ends and heatshrink some tubing over the wire ends.

No no; I checked the wiring schematic. The yellow leads are secondary windings.

I checked once more the TR501A; the yellow pair is 12V secondary.
If not necessary for the amp Nigel's advice in #2 is correct. |

How close do I cut the leads off to the transformer body?

You don't have to cut them off at all. He meant to cut off any exposed copper at the end of the wire and then put some shrink tube over the end.
