Default plate amp or diy suggestion for 600w PA sub

Hi Guys

i am a singer/musician keen diyer and speaker cabinet builder and did my btec in electronics years ago, so possess basic electronics knowledge.

i would like to make my 8 ohm jbl2226 600w 15" subs, active, they run from a crown pt3( which only delivers 650 in to a 4 ohm load) quite nicely

also i have 350w 12" beyma/ 2" b&c mid tops which i would also like to make active.

i undertsand that the hypex psc 2.400 could suit both tasks, and i'm considering the coldamps gear too,

i'm using a dbx drive rack eq/crossover/toaster etc to manage the system

what would you guys suggest?

hope this has not been done to death before
