HLLY TAMP 90 white noise / hiss issue

Hi all!

I just got my HLLY TAMP 90.
On the one hand I am impressed by it's sound/quality.
On the other hand I am disappointed because it produces a hiss / white noise which
is clearcly audible even if sitting 4 meters away. My loudspeakers are not overly sensitive.

The noise is there constantly. It varies a bit when changing the volume.

Anyone having a solution for this problem (other than buying another amp ;-) )

Hi,
What are your speakers? I've had one of these,and used it on 94dB/w speakers.There is a little hum and hiss,but only with my ear up to the cone.Did you buy this new from Hlly? If so,it may be faulty or you may have been sent an earlier version.Can you open it to check what it says on the circuit board?

Belastbarkeit (Nenn-/Musikb.): 110 / 140 W
Wirkungsgrad: 88 dB/1W/1m
Übertragungsbereich: 32 - 35.000 Hz
Übergangsfrequenzen: 300 / 2.500 Hz
Impedanz: 4 Ohm

HLLY offered me a very satisfying solution for the problem.

New TAMP-90 do not have the hiss problem!
