Class D IC recommendations wanted.
Looking to design a class D high power amplifier, upto 1000watts peak.
I looked at the IRS2092 but it is hard to get hold of in DIP for through hole. The IRS2092 looks good becasue it is scalable using external buffers on the HO and LO outputs. Something similar would be good.

Your options are limited if you want an all in one modulator/driver IC like the IRS2092. They are even more limited if you can only design with through hole packages.

I can get away with through hole or SMD taht isnt too small to solder by hand. A pitch of 0.05 is probably as small as I can solder with my old shaky hands !
