SMPS are different ... They don't need caps as badly as linear or unregulated supplies, and they even have a limit to what capacitance they can drive.
Before adding any caps, do check out what maximum capacitance the supply can handle on its output. |

And when you're adding caps you want to add them as close as the load as possible, that means connecting the leads to the amp board, not the PSU.
