Boo hoo. I was too early to order. The input pins are making me feel all thumbs. That's without a soldering iron, so hopefully soon I'll see if I can slap something together.

Nevertheless the board looks great!

How to bridge it?
I think I should have said "parallel," not "bridge." But if a single TP2050 chip can operate in either a two channel (6/8 ohm) or a paralleled one channel (4 ohm) configuration (datasheet: http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/data...h/mXyzwqtx.pdf), it would be useful to have the ability to switch between the two modes (e.g., with a dip switch).

I don't know if this feature would be practical to implement. But it would make the board more versatile, and give more people a reason to buy it.

Hi all, my first post here but im not new to audio (into it 30yrs) or Class T (8years,
anyways, I recieved 2 of these amps yesterday from Nick12247, i hooked one up to a Meanwell 36v supply (turned down to 31v ) in place of a stock standard Sureelectronics 2ch 2050 amp board that i had powering a pair of 8ohm bookshelf speakers,(TL 6.5s with Foster Ribbon tweets and.... WOW !! this little beast is Great ! actually i think it eats the stock Sure amp for breakfast ! super bass control, a larger soundstage and what seems like more power too ??. Had it running flatout all afternoon here (playing Trentemoeller and DeadMau5 and some Goa ) the heatsink is just cruising, thats no mean feat on this music !
i havnt tried the amp on my good dac or my on my big speakers yet ( 6 ohm VonSchwekert floorstanders ) that will be very interesting, those are currently powredd by 2 Hilly 90 /T2022 based amps, one amp on each speaker ;-) and they sound pretty dam good
anyways,I am going to buy 2 more of these little beauties.
Good Find ,thanksagain Nick!

Solder-free test!
PC as a source in this first test setup was too noisy, but the portable Fuze works well. I think this amp has better low level detail than my HLLY TA2020 amp.
I'm using a HP brick 31VDC 3A power supply.
Heat sink is kinda warm...

It's great so far! I'm tickled pink!

Default Heat Sink

I've been running this board for an hour now using a 31v power supply and no audio signal. The heat dissipation (measured by fingertip) seems similar to my Sure board using a Zalman heatsink (ZM-NB47J), possibly a bit worse. I have to pull my finger away after 4-5 seconds. Even if the sound quality is better, the heat generated is pretty much the same.

Ok, i am now listening to one of these TK2050 boards on my best speakers - ive had em 10yrs, theyr Von Schweikert VR4.5 Fullrange -6ohms 20-20- floorstanders . anyways the new amp board i installed in place of the two Hlly 90 (ta2022)amplifiers ive been using for 3 months, one hlly90 on each speaker -non bridged .
Well, anybody want to buy 2 mint Hlly 90 amps ?? lol.
from first power up the new TK2050 is in another league to the hlly !! actually its alot like my Autocostruire Ta2020 boards -but with loads more power.
the low bass wow !! tight tight so controled, HUGE soundstage ,detailed an sssweet ,gobloads of that Tripath mid depth and speed. i just know it will improve too with more hours use . power for the new board is from the Meanwell 36v smps ,ive now turned it up a bit from 31v to 33.8v :-) no problem so far, the heatsink is quite comfortable for me to touch for as long as i want but it is cold here -20c - its winter in australia.

ive got a pair of nice Obligato caps i was going to put in -it will be so easy on this board to cap roll ,they thought of everything- but i wont yet ,the stock MKP ? input caps sound just fine.

ok rave over.
