Can someone confirm my measurements on a Nuforce 9se V3. or similar?
Both amps appear to function as new. What I measured was a little concerning for me, they have a short switch on "squelch" from their outputs into the tweeters and a continous frying idle noise from the tweeters you can hear at 2 meters I measured the switch on "squelch" at around 15v @ approx 520khz for about 1 second. Then the idle noise was around 4v @ 520khz continuous Cheers George |

Quote from here: NuForce | FAQ
"... when there is no music, Nuforce amplifier may have a higher background noise. It is adding noise to the system in an attempt to cancel out distortion, but since noise being the only signal present, it could not be ‘cancelled’ out. The result is higher noise floor when listening (putting the ear next to) close to the speakers." |

Sounds like a bit of a snow job, does not explain the readings I have 15v at turn on and 4v at idle at 520khz. if it were even half those readings on a linear amp you would say danger faulty do not attach to speakers send in for repair.
