Hi, I want to design a toroidal transformer power supply for my 300W sub woofer amplifier[TAS5615]
My power supply i unregulated and the maximum input supply level is 50V for TAS5615. So what could be my transformer safer secondary voltage rating. I didn't decide my transformer type whether center tapped or bridge type and i don't know which one is best. TI recommends 16A current rating ..... Is it really required that much of power supply......?

Oh! you can't get 300W with TAS5615,THD so large, tweeter will be burned,I think you should use an regulated power supply,SMPS or liner power,I have send lots of picture on diyauduio, you can search it and research it,if you still have question I think I can give your some ideas.

The 16A is the peak current capability which is mainly relevant if you are designing an SMPS. The average power is considerably less and a linear supply will have no problems providing the current. I would use a 300VA transformer although 150VA-500VA should be acceptable.
