Default Flying Mole amps?? anyone heard of them??

I just picked up a strange amp made by a company called Flying Mole??? I have never heard of them. it's a modular rack with several switching amp modules in it. has a pair of 300 watt amps and a pair of 100wpch stereo modules. four 100 watt channels total and a pair of 300 watt channels.

I did some googling and found some basic info. seems they were quite expensive new. I wonder if there is any interest in them used?? I'm curious how they were reviewed? seems they won a bunch of awards in 2004.

Flying Mole is IIRC a sping-off/spin-out from one of the big Japanese companies -- Yamaha would be my 1st guess.

Reviews i read were mixed.

I heard the Flying Mole Class D amps at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2007 with some Green Mountain floorstanding speakers. They sounded very nice. I personally prefer the warmer sounding Tripath Class D amps.

I found a blurb on the web...of course now i can no longer find it, but it said F.M was some former Yamaha engineers.

I have 2 of the PM-301d modules and 2 of the PM-162d modules and the DPA-M1600 frame.

Flying Mole were imported in the UK by TL loudspeaker manufacturers PMC. (Who are also UK agents for Bryston amps.)

PMC now have their own line of class-D amplifiers which are very similar, so maybe have taken them over.

FLYING MOLE DAD-M100pro BI POWER AMPLIFIER 160W/4, 100W/8, XLR in, Speakon NL4 out
