Hi,
I would like to know if it's a good idea to change the original power supply with a bigger one, like a Meanwell S-145-12 (12V, 12A) ? oversized but for less than $40 on ebay.. are Meanwell SMPS good products ? reliable ? And is it possible to power two Trends 10.1 with the same power supply (like the Meanwell) or is it better to have two separated power supplies ? I ask the question because I would like to test bi-amping but unfortunately, my speakers (Cabasse Iroise 500, 4ohms, 92db) are not bi-amping "ready", someone said that's it's not a problem, I have in this case to connect just one channel of each amp and put a 4ohms 2W resistor on the unused channels. What do you think about that ? Maybe later I'll change the power caps with better ones like Panasonic FM series 1200uF or 2200uF, it seems to improve the bass depth, right ? Thank you for your help. |
