I debugging new module for active speaker,200W/8Ω,500w/4Ω.I have upload first version PCB on diyaudio,
SMPS chip sg3525d,AMP use IRS2092 class d driver,OTP/OCP/DCP/UVP function inside, special function clip detect and protect.
now I adjust DT TIME for best sound out,low THD out.osc frequency set 500KHz-600KHz,high frequency for get high frequency response.
I found when signal near 15Khz,output signal become deformed, like triangular wave。anybody can tell me why.

200w/8Ω smps & class d module finished!

Ok ,I have finished my works debuging,I finaly found my errors,I use three cermat cap in soc ,so bad performance,I found all OK when I change it with MKP series, now amp fequency reponse good value,10Hz-30KHz ±1dB.
If anyone like this topic, please send mail to me ,let's talk about it technology details.
Last night,I have to go to bed until 4:00AM,Switch amp design not easy but interesting.

Hi authlxl

I'm a bit surprised that changing ceramic caps in the feedback path with NKT should do a big difference.
How big are these caps??

You have a feedback path from the output filter back to the input, without any compensation. How much feedback are you able to run this way?

Would love to see your schematics of the SMPS, I'm in need of an easy construction for a +- PSU for my new class-d design

PCBs look impressive.

How is the sound.
Did you get a clean 15 kHz??

Beat regards Baldin ;)

No Fan cooling System Design!

Ok,CHINA time 0:48am,I answer some question before I have to go to bed,my system designed for professional audio amp,no fan cooling ACTIVE SPEAKER SYSTEM,500W/4Ω $200w/8Ω,I make it works over 12 hours/100W/8Ω,when I touch heatsink only warm feeling.smps gnd/amp gnd/analog gnd are divided.
If you found another question ,please tell me .thanks!

Did you find the triangular output with the ceramic SMD caps also at very low output levels?
If it happens only at higher output levels, then it is probably just the traditional voltage derating behavior of most ceramic caps.
NP0 should not show much drop of capacitance, X7R already poor for large audio signals, Y5...again worse.

600W REAl power?

My freind mail me they use this module get 600W,Real power out?I never get so much power out with this module(we call sw1400),when I increase iuput singal 1.6vrms,I get 50Vrms/8Ω/1kHz,45Vrms/8Ω/1kHz,I never found it can delive out 600W.
I call him just ago.I know reason.he change my output inductor with double red/grey 39mm toroidal core,400uH inductor and 2u/wama cap.they only use it drive subwoofer.I follow with him! super audio man!

Genius 500 upload!

My friend asked me develop new one.I do it before China New Year coming.upload picture .2OZ PCB,Immersion au,blue silk screen,Use WIMA MKs series CAP in output stage and decoupling 。 brunofix aluminum heatsink。
My friend call it" Genius 500".I have test all paramter.47V﹫4Ω ≤1%THD (about 552W/4Ω )work state indictor( ready/clip/OTP).

Willl you be selling the 500W amps also, authlxl?

Not that I really need yet another amp, (in fact I just broke down and bid on the TAS5630 amp in chassis you have on ebay - it's due to end in an hour or so, I couldn't just watch it stop at that price). But 500W, more power is more power...which is always good, right? I notice the heatsink fins on the new amp, does it get warm?

What do you think of the Tripath as compared to the TI chips, is Tripath better?
