Hello,
I recently took my charlize 2 to work and back, when I got home I removed the volume pot as I have a pre-amp. After this minor mod, one channel has stopped working. The remaining channel works fine, and sounds normal. I don't know much about electronics, enough to hook up a psu etc. I tried testing the nearest components to the input solder points, in case I cooked them. (the inputs are the only bits I took a soldering iron to directly before the problems started) They are diodes, and with a multimeter on diode checking / continuity setting, the read short circuit both ways, though this is when they are still on the board. NB: The continuity between RCA inputs and board inputs are all fine, with the ground of both inputs showing short circuit. Between -ve and +ve of speaker outputs shows 400 (something ohms) on both channels. Can any one suggest a possibly problem or testing procedure to find out what is going on? Thanks for any help, David |
