Default Simple, what is the state?

Throwing out a question for the forum: How far is the DIY class D progressing sonically? OEM units I have heard (yes, NAD and ROTEL) are still way behind good AB and not in the same room as Class A for full range high end sonically. Edgy and nervous. Getting better but not there yet. Great for sub amps. Great for cars and portable due to efficiency, but I am talking pure sound quality.

How is the phase relationship across the bandwidth?
What is the current SOTA bandwidth?
Are they as sensitive to the power supply as AB?
Where do the possible issue lie? In the initial sampling?

Hey TVR - welcome to the forum.
Perhaps it's time to do some reading thru the threads here. The answers to your questions are there.

For me, the the sound quality of recent Class-D designs is better than most Class-AB and approaching the SQ of many Class-A amps. There are others on the forum who would agree.
