Hello.
Totally new to this amp or DIY in general, and I am hoping to get some helpful guidelines as I never done any type of DIY in the past. First, here is a spec for my speaker. Speaker is Monitor Audio GR60. Nominal Power 200 Watt RMS Peak Power Handling 400 Watt Frequency Reponse 28 Hz - 30000 kHz Sensitivity 90 dB Impedance 6 ohm What I'd like to build ultimately is. A. An amp with sufficient to drive my current speaker and have a room for future speaker upgrade. B. 2 Input. 1 RCA and 1 XLR for balanced with input selector With the above requirement, here are my questions. If it is answered somewhere, please let me know the links. 1. UcD 400. Is this sufficient or do I need even more poweful amp module? 2. I read that there is no soldering required. Is that a fact or do I need some level of soldering to get this finished? 3. What kind of case can I use? I have a HTPC case that I am not using (desktop look, not the tower). Is that sufficient? 4. What parts do I need to buy for the above requirements? Thanks in advance for any help and guidelines. Regards |
