Pot for T2024

I have been using a cheapo pot 50K log.

Recently I changed to one as shown in photo. Same 50K but linear. When at minimum volume both are at 7o'clock, but at listening level the old one was at 9-10 o'clock while the new one at 1-2 o'clock.

Should I worry? The new one sounds smooth and nice.

Tangent recommends "log or audio" rather than "linear" for amp use.

from the graph shouldnt it be the opposite? meaning the old one output like linear while the new one like log?

If you want, you can create a psuedo-log pot using the linear potentiometer.

I am looking for a reasonable priced pot for TA2024, how much did u pay for this? Wonder if the same vendor has nonlinear one.
