Hello funky audio people!

First post here, what an inspiring site - I am just starting to try out some class D stuff for portable audio. Bought one of the cheaper ebay 2024 boards and I'm trying it out on this battery;

12v 2000mAh Li

and making some little speakers with the 5W 1" Aurasound Cougars

It works great at lower volumes but is maybe struggling when it goes louder. The spec for the board says a 2A power supply for peaks, around 400mA for medium volume. I can't find specs for the battery but I think around 250mA is normal for the cameras you normally use with it.

Now my electronics knowledge is pretty useless, so I was wondering if changing the caps could make improvements for loud bass hits. Would a 2Ah SLA handle peaks better than a 2Ah Li-Ion? And could adding bigger caps help when using a Li-Ion?

Cheers!
