I have a Hifonics BXi 1606D Super class d amp, that has roughly about 10 blown/burnt resistors, i'm capable of replacing these, i just have no clue on what i need to order, the numbers next to the resistors are-R25E1, R26E1, R27E1, R28E1, R29E1, R30E1, R25E, R35E, R26E, and one that i cannot read, and a couple of the mosfets are cracked right by these resistors. so could you help me figure out which parts i need.

If they are on power switching stage (SMPS) , the transistors must be N-MosFet, and could be used IRFP064N or IRF 3205, depending of capsule of transistor.
The gate resistors are between 10 and 22 ohms, I always used 10 ohms. If they are on ClassD Switching amplifier, is a little more complicate. Must be replaced ALL mosfets and all gate resistors. Also check ,or better replace TL494 or SG oscillator circuit, also eventually buffers, before powering on. First, try to use a small 5-10 amps fuse for testing, seried with power supply, if is ok, then replace with bigger valuie, till approaching the oficial valor of it.. Get us a bigger an CLEAR photo, (macro is ok) ,it could be better for hepling us ,to helping you. Good Luck! |

All gates resisstors is 47 Ohm 1/4 watt, mosfets in this amp is usualy FQP65N06 .You can install IRFZ48V,they are even better then original ones.100% driver transistos blown too. They are located between toroidal transformers. They are two pair of KTC3228 and KTA1275 .Cheapest replacement for them is BD139 and BD140

Yes, looks to be SMPS switching part.
Try to replace (ALL) mosfets with IRF3205 if they are in TO220 Case, or with IRFP064N if they are in TO247 Case. The buffer transistors are perfectly replaced by ZTX 851 and ZTX 951,or if you don't find em, could try BD 237 BD238. Also replace the TL494 or SG 3525 on oscillator stage! Use 22 ohms /0,6 watts for gate resistors. Good luck and let us know how you managed'em! |
