UcD400HG Layout Feasible?

Is this configuration for building two channels as good if not better than the usual monoblock layout?

Two torroids in a box supplying stepped-down AC to the two channels, each in a box containing the 400HG module and a HG mono supply. The length of the AC cable between torroid and the amp box is 5 ft.

The advantage of this layout is elimination of emi from the torroid, and convenience in having very light left/right amps.

Will this affect the music adversely in any way, particularly in PRAT?

Perhaps I should be more specific.

Will having longer AC leads between transformer and supply lead to more emi/rfi issues, and will it somehow make the music suffer in micro-dynamics?

Or, in terms of sound quality, is this really no different from the typical monoblock layout since we are dealing with AC cables (pre and post transformer) in both cases?
