Increasing the output voltage of the Skynet 8080 SMPS?

I'm currently using one to power my Trends TA-10.1, but could use some more juice - is it possible? And if, is there any point in upping the voltage to say 14 or 15V? I've mounted a heatsink on the chip, so it should be fine.

It seems to have a voltage regulator..thingie.

Cheers,
Johan

Only that you may need slightly better heatsinking of the Tripath chip. If it's already heatsunk, you should be good. Just have an extra look at the maximum voltage specs just to be sure.

At least that's from the amp side. Don't know how the SMPS likes the extra power, but it shouldn't be TOO bad since it's not operating at full peak power all the time.
