threw this togethere for S&Gs. Sold my Trends. It sounds real nice.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
"My goodness, Grandma , what a big heatsink you have!"
Looks nice - good work. I think you'll lenjoy it. The AMP6 is still one of my favs. What are you using for a power supply?

Why such a big heatsink? I'm new to this and thought the tripaths were quite cool. Some I've seen don't have a heatsink.

That much of an improvement? Cool. I have had this little amp for about 2 years and really enjoy it. I too have a fairly large heat sink added to the chip, just because (I'm a little paranoid & anal).
I should actually get to putting the thing into some kind of enclosure though, and add a second input, and add a potentiometer...

trying to figure out a prob with one of the GF amps (still)...

I would not say it is a HUGE improvement but for now it is at least a wash. The market for the Trends is really hot so it sold in 20min for a good price. I just don't need to little Class D amps right now. I mostly run a Zv9 for my poweramp.
If you were to add a pot to the amp6basic where would you connect it?
