sts9fan...

Sold my Trends. It sounds real nice.

That much of an improvement? Cool. I have had this little amp for about 2 years and really enjoy it. I too have a fairly large heat sink added to the chip, just because (I'm a little paranoid & anal).

I should actually get to putting the thing into some kind of enclosure though, and add a second input, and add a potentiometer...

Michael...

didn't wanta ask, as there should be a turntable and tonearm heading your way (or at least the stuff to make a turntable), but at least a complete tonearm

trying to figure out a prob with one of the GF amps (still)...

take care..

I would not say it is a HUGE improvement but for now it is at least a wash. The market for the Trends is really hot so it sold in 20min for a good price. I just don't need to little Class D amps right now. I mostly run a Zv9 for my poweramp.
If you were to add a pot to the amp6basic where would you connect it?

Kris

potentiometer ....

would be connected between the RCA inputs and the signal input on the board.

if a 2 input device is desired, then a DPDT switch could be added prior to the potentiometer, tying the negatives all to ground....
