Hello,

I have here 2 working Class D PCBs, Output Power is about 1600W RMS@4 OHM, Rail Voltage is 150V

IC Manufacturer is removed, does everybody know this Driver Device ?

This Class D Amplifier is Full Bridged and has 8 pcs. IRFP250N Output Devices each Channel

Sound is very very good powerful bass....

Are you sure that four 123nC MOSFET may be optimally driven with just an IR2113? Maybe with an IR2010? I'm in doubt... Is it a full range amplifier? Judging by the size of the output inductor, switching frequency should be pretty high.

Anyway, it seems like a year 2007 design yet they are still stuck with junk like IRFP250N. For example, a single pair of a certain recent TO-220 model can do the work of 3 pairs of IRFP250N.

Also, being a 150V full bridge, it should produce nearly 2500W at 4 ohms, not 1500W which requires just a bit over 100V. But with such a small output inductor, saturation current can't be very high either...

IR2113/2110 are different only on basis of max voltage ratings i.e. 600/500V respectively, rest ratings are similar.

I have tried IR2113 with a pair of IRFP250N with rails at +/-80V and SW=220kHz with no prob.

Though i have stopped using IR chips, i prefer TC4420 ;)
