I just got some minimus 7's and a mod kit off ebay.....
was thinking of powering them with this t-amp; http://cgi.ebay.com/T-AMP-HI-END-TA2...QQcmdZViewItem THEN i notice this on his auction; NOTE! The machine is BTL output, that is to negative side of outspeaker is not grounded, not public. So we must strictly in accordance with the marking of plus or minus cable connection, or we may damage IC. If the damages are caused by non-attention on instructions all fees need to pay for maintenance. what does this mean? |

That seems pretty obvious Terry
![]() It means that each amp channel output +/- must be kept separate from the other channel +/-. You cannot share the speaker grounds. Hope that helps. |

Tyler, The crossovers on the 7's can really benefit from upgrading. The one shown above is probably fine, depending on when yours were made. The problem is that over the years Rat Shack changed drivers, etc., and never bothered to designate which one is which one. If you haven't done so yet, there are a couple of recent threads on these here at diyaudio, so do a search. IIRC, they cover some areas that will help and complement the crossover mods. Good Luck on your project, TerryO
