Anybody hv tried this IC?
Introduced in March 08.

Yes I have, and it works.

Anybody know where I can get at least 550 pcs. of these as quick as possible, within the next 4 weeks or so?

If you want 550 pieces, call Philips. If they won't sell them to you, they will tell you who will.
