Distortion problems on my Charlize 2 - Page 2

Oh ! OK I get it, I'm sorry I did not understand the first time.

Just 2 questions :

- There is absolutely no contact between the input of the supply (230V 50Hz) and the output (even the grounds). Isn't it enough ?

- The same question as before : if the input ground of the charlize is at 2.5V, how can I connect it to a soucre with an output ground at 0V ?

Hi, dont worry it confused the hell out of me first time round
Think of the 'ground' as the negative rail rather than the 'earth' pin and it becomes clearer.
It's only @ 2.5V potential, only if it can see it's own negative rail will it become that... I think that's how to put it? I'm no EE that's for sure!

Ah yes your right, ground is different than earth. But still, I don't know if the source really like it ^^
I'll try to find a different power supply and do some tests but I'm not sure of the result. It's maybe easier to undo the mod of the charlize 2 and put back some input caps and wire the input ground to the pin 7 of the ta2020 ...

indeed that is the only way if you do not use batteries on one of the components.
