I have read that I can mod the UCD to power the input buffer amp with a separate higher grade power supply.
I have a diycable Exodus MCH PSU that already has an +-12V supply, could I mod the UCD to use that one in any way? Is it worth it? Regards Robert |

Thanks!
I see that you can upgrade the old ST modules, but the new HG modules look different. Is it not worth doing the mod on the new High Grade modules? According to the HxR datasheet you should remove R68 and R69 to use the HxR regulator directly on the module. According to my (limited) knowledge it should be possible to remove these resistors (to bypass the internal supply) and connect an external supply to the output pin of the HxR socket? Anyone?
