is it truth that the hypex modules don`t handle well loads under 4 ohms?

Of course it handle low impedance.
UcD is one of the only Class-D who has rule flat frequency response in any normal load, even in 1 ohm..... Check our website for the measurements. www.hypex.nl Jan-Peter |

thanks for the reply.
i read somewhere that at 2 ohms the power drops and i thought to ask. with 1000va per channel how much power should i expect at 2 and 1 ohm? |

Of course the power drops in lower impedances. maximum current is 28A piek;
+/- 700W in 4 ohm. +/- 390W in 2 ohm. +/- 190W in 1 ohm. Even with 1 ohm load the frequency response is ruler flat.... ![]() Jan-Peter |

When driven to its max wattage for the load, does intermediately shutdown or handle the situation in some graceful way?

good news.
i measured my speakers and the minimum is 3 ohms. so the 700`s are more than enough. |
