hi

There are some a Very Low priced amplifiers
made by something called 'Sonic Impact'
When I say low, I am talking like €50 ( ... 50 euro ).

You wont lose much, by buying such cheap stuff .... it wont ruin many people.

The output of these amps
is not very high in compare to traditional power amplifiers:
- around 10 Watt RMS like.
Now, most anybody that have listened, say these are great amplifiers ....
How can be?

 I have really missed this.
But then I am, have been, almost allergic to 'Digital Amps'.
Class D, Class T ... I never bothered. Is this serious?
I am a good old Class A / AB man. Like Nelson Pass and the old traditional guys.

Here is the Audiophile variant 'Super-T'
that cost a bit more, but still not much:

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

T-Amps

The Sonic Impact T-Amp and Super T-Amp are offerings using the Tripath chip. Yes, they are serious audio amplifiers. The Super T-Amp yields greater bass. The hobbyist that frequent this forum and elsewhere have modified the T-Amp to get the Super T-Amp performance.

I would suggest that you read the threads in this forum about the TA-10.1 mods and modifications to the T-Amps listed here. There is quite a bit of information regarding the astounding little amplifiers.

If you choose to test the waters you will be welcomely surprised.

Duuuuuude!!! You are seriously behind the times. :D

This very forum was founded on the surprise success of the Sonic Impact. The Super-T is the follow up to that little critter by the same company.

There are 100s of posts here about both and other Tripath based amps.

I hope Lineup doesn't mind all our good natured kidding. :)

But it is sort of like me going into the Tube forum and saying "Hey look, I found a thing called a Tetrode! Amazing! And you can get them in Russia. You should check out the KT88, the specs are amazing." :clown:

Sorry Lineup, but you did give us a laugh!

Indeed Lineup, I've seen you posting frequently in the Pass Labs forum. Welcome to something special and very secret: ssssht... it's class D.
You will not be dissappointed by buying a regular Sonic T-amp (@ $39) and trying it in your system. Sell it to me if you don't like it!
