half-bridge VS. full-bridge

Full-bridge PROS:
1. Single supply
2. Reduction in harmonics (even or odd? I forget, but think it's odd order).

Full-bridge CONS:
1. Extra circuitry (and associated costs)
2. Double the magnetics (cost, plus real-estate).

At least that's the short list. But, what about audio quality? I'm interested in learing how these 2 topologies stack up against each other with regards to audio quality. Has anyone made measurements for both (distortion, frequency response, etc.)?

Any other thoughts or experiences on this?

Give it time to sink in, someone is sure to have an opinion. Here's mine:

It "seems" to me that the full bridge circuits sound better. Can't swear to it, but that's what I feel. Don't know why they would, though, unless it's a balanced signal thing.

Theoretically, they shouldn't sound any different. Practically, a half bridge amp is easier to build. If operating from the same supply voltages, a bridged amp would be able to provide twice the voltage swing across the load that a half bridge (single ended) amp would.
