Even the chips are equip with protection by themselves,do they able to 'self-protect' when they are operating at BPA configuration???

this is something that needs to be evaluated, however, for me I use a protector around HA or UPC chips, coz if a short circuit occurs and chipsblow up (which would be 4-6 chips per channel) the inconvenience and monetary loss is much high compared to putting in a protector circuit.
