I had a experienced of short circuit,the circuit board is blowing smoke.room is the smell of distillation,troubles for one day

Gotta love Solid State..
I especialy like it when the multi-legged fuses explode and leave hot bits of plastic and silicon in your arms and face...

Yea..I've made some spectacular explosions...

Havn't managed to explode any tubes yet though..
I did have an accident with some NOS RCA 807's I had just got..Filament regulator poofed (dang SS exploding again!) and the filaments lit up like lightbulbs,till they went out permanently....

I have blown a tube (well not exploded as such)

An old Eddystone 1920-30 three valve regenerative shortwave radio. It was a HL2 - a 4 pin 2V dht. Accidentally connected B+ (~100V) to the heater. Went off like a flash bulb

Fortunately there was a gentleman in England who had those tubes and I found them again
