hi im making a pre using the ina217. and i was thinking of putting a tap point so if i wanted i could use outboard effects(dry).
does any one know of a decent compressor for diy? schematics or links? thanks.

um yeah i found some stuff so dont go blowing this thread up.
btw have any of you ever checked out prodigyprofessional.com??? of course it aint like home, diyaudio, but they got some nice pro recording projects going on there. neve,api,ssl cool stuff

The "THAT" Corporation make some Nice Compressor VCA"s that would work good for building a Compressor (the Datasheet should have curcuit examples).....
I also have a Schematic for Building a Blackmer VCA Compressor but it is more suited for Guitar and Bass but I don"t see why it can"t be used for Vocals...... I think you have my e-mail address so if you want these Schematics then e-mail me and I"ll send them to you.... Cheers |

Ahh Chris, what up man. ya send over those schematics. i'll look into those THAT vca's. thanks. did you get the eagle program? if there is any problems let me know ill walk you through it. gotta get you going on Eagle, its great.

You might want to look here http://www.fmraudio.com/RNC1773.HTM These are reportedly quite good say some pro audio friends of mine.
Price is also very good. Why reinvent the wheel? Just a thought. Hugh
