I have a doubt with this pcb. How and what do i connect in the outputs in the red circle? i mean i have to put a switch or what? what's the COM Pinout? the speaker goes between out and gnd or out and com or what?! i don't know how to use that thing.

Hi,
a working link to the picture is: http://img339.imageshack.us/my.php?image=drawingno5.jpg It shows ST's original application circuit board layout, which is BTW not recommended. Even Elektor managed to make a better one many years ago. The COM pin is the return (ground) for Standby and Mute. Have a look at page one of the datasheet to see what switch is required for what functionality. I recommend the TDA7293, btw. Higher current capability, safer for the same heat sink size and pin compatible. Take a look at this for a very sophisticated TDA729x project, this site has some more, but not all of it is in English. Cheers, Sebastian. |
