Hi guys, I'm in Canada and can't seem to find a source for the proper resistors and caps to build a LM3886TF based amp. I don't know enough about this stuff to confidently place an order without surely making a mistake.
This is what I have collected so far: 8 x LM3886TF chips, 3 transformers, 2 are Plitron (067016201) 225VA, +/-2X25VAC and one is a Toroid of Maryland (767.302) 670VA, 2X30VAC. I also have a Grayhill rotary switch / Toggle switch part# 51MP30-01-1-12N for switching between inputs.
I still need a volume control of some sort. As for the mains trigger, I ordered a Soft Switch from here: http://www.robcheng.com/ click audio, electronics, then Soft Power Switch to view.
I found some nice heatsink material on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=180086175170&rd=1&rd=1
The only problem here is,it's silver, I'd like black. I'll look into painting...

Anyway, I'd like to build on stereo integrated amp and I can use some help. I really hope to get some as I'm quite exited about the whole DIY idea!
Thanks for looking!
Brian

P.S. I have 5 X LM4652TA and 5 X LM4652TF chips and a small selection of paper-in-oil caps if anyone would like to trade or part trade for any of the parts I need.

I don't know how many Watts we talk about here, but that heatsink seems to be far bigger than what you need.

For volum pot, nothing beats a standard carbon volume pot. It's superior to anything but high-price transformer attenuators. Alps has one. Don't know what it's called. But it's not the "Blue Velvet," which uses conductive plastic.

I would use standard metal film resistors, low impedance electrolytics and Solen, Rifa, Wima or similar type of polypropylene caps. All standard stuff.
