Hi out there,
I made myself a simple symmetric power supply for a 3886 chipamp. No regulation, just two rectifiers and the capacitors. My transformer gives me quite symetric plus / minus 18 Volt AC. DC output (without load - didn't test with load up to now) is slightly asymetric: 25,3 Volt positive / 25,7 Volt negative. Should I worry about this 400 mV difference? Thanks in advance Ruediger |

Hi Ruediger,
No you don't have to worry for such a small difference ;-) By the way clipping is never symetric ! |
