I've just bought a switchmode power supply which I intend to use with an Audiosector LM3875 kit.
I was wondering if the 1500uF capacitors are still necessary? |

I use two MeanWell 24v 4,5A SMPS (which is switching frequency=25Khz) modules for my LM3886 stereo board. On the PCB i have 1000µF+10µF+100nF on each rail. And i cannot hear any kind of noise.
Some of DIYers said "SMPS using needs extra filter solutions" in past but i guess its unnecessary..

Thanks for the reply. I would have expected that an SMPS would need minimal filtering, given the specs I've seen. I'll be using a supply with a switching frequency in the hundreds of kHz range.
