I noticed that some of us are not adverse to "junk picking" tossed out items... me included.
To my delight while looking at a pile of toss-outs recently I saw some hefty looking toroids. After working to remove them from their harness I was finally able to determine the value. I recovered 2 - 322VA Dual Isolated Secondaries 28V CT each. <CRY> 14V or 28V... Too Low Center Tapped or Too High at 28VAC for a GC project. Though it does have me thinking about the effects of running a a CHIP AMP off of +- 16V, which is why I mention it.

28v work ok if heat sinked adequately and using 8 ohm loads, single chip. parallel chip/4780 fine as well.
or the 14v works well with bridge config, br100 (also work mighty well for mini aleph) |
