Hi latham,

Just to let you know taht I ordered a kit from Chipamps.com (before peter split off to form AudioSector). Peter actually supplied me a kit from Canada and I didn't have to pay any import duty.

The kit is great (ridiculously good sound for the cost) and Peter is great to deal with.

Default LM3875 available from Hi-Fi Parts

Hello. I came accross this thread by chance. You can buy the LM3875 from Hi-Fi Parts - The Audio Parts Specialists . The store audio parts too. I have ordered from them and they offer a great deal. They are much cheaper than Farnell and RS components. Alternatively you can just type hi-fi parts in google and they should be on the first page. Hope you found this information helpful.
