Hi.
I need a schematic for my subwoofer amplifier (mono)
I have : +/- 17 V @ 5A and 4 amplifiers with tda2030a made by me OK, after datasheet (simetric power supply)
I want to build an amplifier with 4x TDA 2030a mono using those 4 amp to reach at let's say 50 W, at 4 or 8 ohm ,doesn't matter.
I know i can make it in configuration bridge-parallel, but i need a schematic, because i don't know if there are any modifications.
Can you help me, please ?
I'm from Romania, excuse my english.

TDA 2030A 18 watt power Amp
Hi dsasorin,
You can easily use split supply schematic of TDA 2030a easy to built .
MAke sure the power supply have sufficient filter atleast 4700uf 50v (split power supply)
and each section of the circuits (each ic) power pins must be grounded by 0.uf 100v and in paraller 1000uf 25v
See the attached figure
if you have any problem you can email me

Hi Nordic,
It will be great if you can post a little bit more clear pic of the PCB if you have.
thanks

I saw RS components have the TDA2030 PCB development board... I guess it is just the datasheet schematic... price is about $2.
stock no 434-576
Wish I could help but this picture is from RS components website.
http://www.rsromania.com/
cost EUR1.86
Is this for a PC speaker subwoofer that you want an amp?
Those chips don't seem to put out much power... looking at datasheet.
On 14V@4ohm guaranteed power only 12W, and 14V@8ohm only 8W.

They Deliver 18 Watt up to 20 watts,
30-36Volts DC 4 ampere's power supply
very low distortion but very sensitive IC's oscillation problems occur if cisrcuit not built properly
Even Altec Lansing in one of its Product (see pic attached) use a lower version of this ic which is TDA2030 10-watt power output, for its Sub woofer
if you compare TDA 2030A its quite powerful and good output
if you go higher TDA2040A you can get up to 30Watts

The TDA2040 provides 22W output
power (d = 0.5%) at Vs = 32V/4W .
TDA2040 provides high output current and has very low
harmonic and cross-over distortion.
While
The TDA 2050 provide up to 35W power into 4 ohm load @ THD =
10%, VS = ±18V, f = 1KHz and up to 32W into
8ohm load @ THD = 10%, VS = ±22V, f = 1KHz.
Moreover, the TDA 2050 delivers typically 50W
music power into 4 ohm load
I love these Pentawatt packages coz of their small size and easy to build circuits.
