Update:

I have removed the PIO cap and added a 2200pF russian teflon cap in it's place. This is much better - far more air and focus at the top end but the clarity is improved from top to bottom. It is definitely a bit more tubey too - more fleshed out vocals etc.

I'm building a new chipamp at the moment so will be far more methodical with experiments with this one :)

I noticed when building the LM4780 reference boards, it does in fact use asymetrical supplies.. with extra capcaitance on the positive rail.

I have done this to the reference non inverted LM3875 circuit too and I like it...
