Hi
Anybody have a chance to compare all of these OPAs side by side ? I used to build all of them ( including 3875 and 3886 ) using inverting configuration, but never have a chance to compare them side by side because alway blow it up by mistake ( I didn't use current limit Resistor ). I know the OPA and LM are different ( in sound characteristic ) but don't know if there are any different between the OPAs. My feeling is 541 give tighter bass than 549 ? Is the 541 more powerful ? Thanks very much ! Ball |

Any one experience this ????
At least on the power, by theory... 541 @ +/- 35v should give higher power output than 549 @ +/- 25v, right ? But I saw one post about feeling on 541 not as strong as the paper claim, just would like to confirm this. thx. Ball |
