I just replace 2200uf Nichicon HE with 1000uf Blackgate Standard and the result is very well.
Big improvement on mid, high, sound stage, depth, and space. So I wondering have anyone tried Blackgate N on gainclone, and what is the result??? Coz from my experience with Blackgate on CD player modification and tube amp, N series win standard by far magin. |

I was using BG STD 1000/50 for two years or so, then I switched to BG N 1000/50 and then to battery power with BG N 47/50. Currently I'm using AC power with BG N 100/50 at the chip and BG STD 1000/50 at the bridges. To me, that's the best combination so far.
Higher values of BG N make the sound too laid back, a bit "mushy". 100uF is about the right capacitance to present all the virtues of type N and 1000u BG STD provide bottom end extension.

It means that after batteries I switched back to AC power (transformer). It's so simple that schematic is not needed. Small caps are directly a tthe chip, bigger caps are close to rectifiers.

I have tried 100uf Blackgate N with 1000uf Standard for 30 hours, it sounds so muddy, lack of bass, triple and dynamic.
How long would the cap need to be break in??? |

Can anyone tell me how to used Blackgate N in Gainclone PS?
Should I connect it them polarized cap or all negative leg [Non-polar Print] to ground on both side? |
