Just wondering if the ON/OFF switch itself can impose sonic characteristics like cables can??
Or is this one area that is completely safe where any sufficient switch will do the same job? Thanks, Dominick

Depends who you ask...
If you believe that power cords and AC fuses affect your sound, then you will certainly want to buy the most expensive switch you can. On the other hand, if you believe the rational people around here, any decent switch with proper voltage and current ratings, properly wired, should do you just fine. There is an exception, with the switch in the off position you will have the lowest noise and distortion possible. This comes at a price, a dramatic reduction in gain and power output. Let the games begin! Ants... march! |

I noticed a great impact of on/off switches on sound. But isn't that kind of self-explanatory?
